The Laurel

We just had our wedding with the Laurel in January, and I will say this was truly the best experience I’ve ever had. Not only was the wedding itself so magical, but working with Boxwood, specifically our coordinator Rachel, was so seamless. Rachel ensured that all of the details leading up to our big day was perfect and exactly how we wanted. The day of truly couldn’t have been more stress-free. Rachel and the team took care of almost every detail and made sure we were all taken care of. I couldn’t recommend the Laurel enough, an amazing venue and team!

We are glad we chose to have our wedding at The Laurel. It was nice having the catering done in house. Chef Justo was incredible to work with (more on Justo and catering in a separate review). The Laurel was a beautiful space, and the team was highly competent. We always felt heard and accommodated in our meetings with our day-of coordinator, Maggie. She was also quick to reply to phone calls or emails from us with questions or concerns. And then on the actual day, she helped the whole thing run like a well-oiled machine. The venue worked with us to make our wedding as custom as we wanted, including our getaway vehicle and allowing my sweet dog to bring our rings down the aisle. My only negative was that we were considering having a completely dry wedding for family reasons, and while they were fine with that, they still required us to meet the beverage minimum, which would have been next to impossible with only juices, sodas, and water. That being said, we did still choose them for many reasons, and we did the basic beer/wine package. Another thing to note for decorating purposes is that you may not attach things to walls, rafters, or pews using command hooks, tape, staples, or anything else. All in all, we were very happy with our choice. Everything ran smoothly, and the staff are highly competent, upbeat, and pleasant to work with.

The Laurel is a beautiful place it will always hold sweet memories for me. One of the best places to celebrate a wedding. The staff was professional, expert, and invisible. What I mean is that one hardly noticed them but they were attentive to every detail. I did find that the a/c was under efficient and the place was "stuffy", also as beautiful as the place is it is on the small side and it felt crowded for the large wedding we attended.

The Laurel is absolutely wonderful - I can’t say enough about how highly I think of this venue! As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the opportunity to photogram couples getting married here a few times, and I am always so impressed by the staff (especially Julianne and Carly!). Their kindness, attention to detail, and the way they care for their clients and guests is absolutely wonderful. The bridal suite has so plenty of room for the bridal party to get ready in (and it’s so picturesque!), and the grounds are beautiful, well maintained, and perfect for portraits. I love the fireplace and covered patio outside for cocktail hour, and having the chapel and ballroom so near to one another makes everything easy for guests to enjoy the day. We got married a few weeks ago at the Laurel and it was truly the best day of our lives! It was only the second venue we toured and we immediately knew it was where we wanted to get married. The chapel itself is gorgeous and the reception space is also stunning. From beginning to end, it was the best experience working with everyone at Boxwood. Everyone was always upbeat, encouraging, responsive, and excited to help your dream become a reality. Our wedding coordinator Kayleigh was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond and made sure our wedding day was seamless. Our guests also raved about the food, which was all amazing. The chef Justo is the best and will ensure you have the best food that fits your budget and vision. I truly cannot say enough amazing things about this venue, they are truly the best!!!

The Laurel was the second venue we toured and I immediately canceled all other tours right after! Sandy greeted us on that first day with such warmth, kindness and professionalism. She listened and answered all of our questions and concerns! We immediately felt so welcomed and this feeling continued when we met our coordinator Julianne! Julianne was professional, poised and gracious at all times! Thanks to Julianne and her team Jonathan and I were able to fully enjoy our wedding day without a worry in the world! There are truly no words to express how grateful we are to the Laurel and their team! I cant think of a more perfect venue and Im so happy we found The Laurel!!

My husband and I could not have had the most perfect day without the incredible Boxwood Hospitality staff at The Laurel. They were so great with the overall wedding planning process and their communication. My day of coordinator Ashley was very helpful, professional, great communicator and an absolute pleasure to work with. The Laurel exceeded my expectations in every way.
